Jaelyn Tweedy coming off a year playing professional basketball in Ireland is now joining Caldwell University as an assistant basketball coach. Earlier this summer she also joined the Be You Stay True Program's coaching staff as a volunteer coach. There is no doubt that "Tweedy" will succeed in her new position within college basketball due to her leadership capabilities, passion for the game, as well as her infectious enthusiasm. From everyone at Be You Stay True, we wish Jaelyn Tweedy the best in her upcoming year! Continue to BE YOU everywhere you go!
"Junior", a current College of Mount Saint Vincent student took a moment to discuss his passion for photography, how he got his start, and what drove him to work for Be You Stay True.
𝗪𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭? I started to fall in love with photography about 3 years ago while I was on a retreat in Long Beach, New York. The satisfaction of being able to capture beautiful once in a lifetime moments became my passion that weekend as I took pictures on my phone of the beach, dogs, and friends. Fast forward to now, I've gotten passionate about capturing stories. When I saw that BYST was looking for a photographer I immediately reached out to them. It involved two things I’m passionate about, photography and working with the youth. Being able to combine the two things that I love, I knew BYST was the perfect fit for me. To me, BYST is the perfect program for kids because of there message of working hard and staying true to who you are! I can't wait to see what the future holds for the Be You Stay True Program! #𝗪𝐞𝐀𝐫𝐞𝐁𝐘𝐒𝐓
