Andrew Curiel- Founder/Coach
Andrew Curiel is the founder of the "Be You, Stay True" Program. Andrew is a Bronx native who has been an instrumental member in his community, and has had the opportunity to work with inner city youth for over seven years. He has mentored young people as a counselor at St. Vincent de Paul camp located in Putnam Valley, N.Y. and as a basketball instructor in his elementary school (St.Helenas) as well as his high school, Monsignor Scanlan High School which is also located in the Bronx. Andrew Curiel played both basketball and baseball during his highschool years. Andrew enjoys playing basketball, but enjoys even more going back to teach and help the younger basketball players in his past schools. He helps the children understand that even though basketball entitles hard work, dedication, and sacrifices, children can still have fun while playing the game. Andrew is currently pursuing his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Andrew is also a rising senior, President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, and the captain of the Men's Basketball Team. |
FRANCISCO NEEKO ZENO - CO-FOUNDER
Neeko is the co-founder of the “Be You Stay True” Program. Neeko is a Harlem native who currently coaches the 8 and under and 10 and under youth basketball teams for his uncle’s program, “Harlem 4 Life.” He is also a head counselor at the Wagon Road Camp located in Chappaqua, NY where he works with kids ages 7-10 years old. Neeko attended preparatory school in Massachusetts where played varsity basketball since the 8th grade. He loves giving back to his community because he community gave so much to him. In his free he enjoys playing videos, playing chess, and listening to music. Neeko is currently pursuing his Bachelor degree in Sociology at the College of Mount Saint Vincent. Neeko is a rising senior and co-captain of the Men’s basketball team. |
