The 3rd Annual Be You Stay True Basketball Camp had the biggest turnout to date, with over 45 participants joining in for a one day camp, put on by the program on Saturday, July 8th 2017. Taking place at the alma mater of Mr.Curiel, Monsignor Scanlan Highschool, the gym was packed with volunteers, coaches, participants, and parents. Throughout the day, the camp consisted of fundamental basketball instruction such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and layups (emphasis on FUN) taught by coaches and current students from the College of Mount Saint Vincent. After instructions, the group took part in a group discussion spearheaded by the Founders themselves, Andrew Curiel and Francisco Neeko Zeno about what, "Be You Stay True" means to them, how they live by that motto, and how the participants can live by that motto too. Co-Founder, Neeko Zeno's past program (PSA Cardinals) also stopped by to talk to children and show them that hard work in basketball can take you far. The camp then concluded with competitions, games, and an award ceremony for everyone in attendance. All of the children walked away with a certificate of completion of the program. With this years camp done, next years camp is already in the works and looking to be better than ever!
